Student accounts are free of charge (until age 30), including a bank pass and one major credit card. Furthermore, PostFinance does not require a residence permit to open an account. There are many ATMs and branches (post offices) in Zurich and all over Switzerland, which are easily recognizable by their flashy yellow signs.
