WUSS up!
A new MLS seminar has just started, the WUSS (Web Utilities and Software Seminar) seminar.
The inaugural session took place on the 29th of April 2010 at the Irchel campus and people attending already gave a positive feedback!
It is an interactive and informal seminar so don't hesitate to join us for the next session at ETH Hönggerberg.

Hello everybody!
Now, the MLS program has it's own wiki. The idea is to use it as a place to collect all the information that might be useful to people doing a PhD in Zurich (and of course especially for those who are part of the MLS program!) - information by MLS students for MLS students!
Don't forget: there will be many MLS students after us who'll be happy to profit from our experience. And, of course, we will also profit from the shared knowledge. Just think wikipedia ;-)
And even better, there's also a forum to discuss all kinds of things.
Things you could put here:
information about
- You! Create your own web page...
- (MLS) courses, interesting lectures, ...
- language courses
- where to open a bank account
- how to find an apartment and (de)register
- the IT infrastructure (n.ethz, ...)
- interesting websites
- best restaurants in town
- interesting places to see in and around Zurich
- where to go skiing/snowboarding
- your own lab/project
... and how does it work?
very easy! just create a new page by replacing "Main_Page" in the address with the name of your new page, for example "restaurants". A new page will be displayed with the message "no content yet". "Edit" this page and write what you want to share with the rest of the world, then click "save". Voilà!
Don't forget to add a link from the main page.
If you want to create your personal page, just click on your name at the top right of any page (after registering).
